Car Buying Info

We bought a 2000 Ford Windstar.  If you are shopping for a new car, here are some web sites to check out:

Here are two things I learned about pricing:

• Dealer Invoice is Factory Invoice plus an advertising cost.  For our Windstar this was around $230.

 
• The dealer usually gets money back every quarter.  For Ford I was told that it was 3% of the Dealer Invoice.  This means that even if we bought our Windstar at Dealer Invoice, the dealer was still making almost $800 dollars.
