Happy Holidays
2002
We decided to write a holiday letter this year because it has been
a very long time since we have talked with the majority of you
who receive our picture photo every year.
As you can see we are all getting older!
Maggie is now 9 years old and doing well in 4th grade.
She likes lunch, recess and the after school program the best, although
she is showing promise in the areas of science and social studies.
She currently is a three sport girl just
recently finishing soccer and now starting basketball.
She played softball last spring and has some
natural talent throwing.
For those of you who remember Maggie as being somewhat shy,
she still is and enters all
sports activities with some apprehension,
but she never stops smiling while playing.
Her nickname in basketball last year was the grinning tiger.
Maggie also likes drawing, reading and she has a great sense of humor!
Abby is now 7 years old and doing very well in 2nd grade.
She likes every part of school and gets sad
during vacations because she misses school.
Abby would like to play all sports!
She just finished soccer and is now in a basketball clinic.
She will get to play softball this year.
For those of you who remember Abby as being out
going and bubbly (yes to go along with her blond hair) she still is.
She enters most sporting events with tremendous enthusiasm and energy.
She enjoys working with beads, doing homework and having fun!
Maggie and Abby get along
very well and shared a room for the past 5 years.
This last month they picked
out their own colors and helped paint their own rooms.
Maggie's room was painted Hudson blue with horses for a border and
Abby's room was painted Doll Dress (purply-pink) with
an underwater scene for a border.
Thank you Kathy for the help with the borders.
They have not fallen off yet!
Larry is currently working for Sybase in Concord, New Hampshire.
He is still working with computers, mainly
trying to debug programs and crash systems, or something like that!
He is busy with many activites.
His greatest accomplishment this year was
through our town Conservation Commission.
The commission secured a 700-acre piece of forest, ponds, fields and
wetland valued at over 1 million dollars.
This was the final stage of a 7-year project that has conserved over
1300 acres around Kimball Pond in Dunbarton, leaving this beautiful untouched
pond for future generations to enjoy.
The commission was able to accomplish this with grant writing, hard work
and financial contributions from the people of Dunbarton! Applause for all
involved! Larry also coaches Maggie's basketball team and participates in the
kids winter sports program (skiing) at Pats Peak.
He still enjoys playing basketball, reading and his new thing is
the card game Magic.
I have been very good.
(For those of you who have lost track because this letter
is so long I am Brigitte) I am still working as a Physical Therapist and I
opened a private practice with 4 other partners just 2 years ago.
The practice has been very successful and
it is one of the best decisions I have ever made.
I have been busy helping to coach Maggie's softball team and
being Abby's Brownie leader.
I still enjoy playing sports like basketball
and tennis.
We have enjoyed many vacations this past year with many good friends and family.
We skied Sunday River, Maine in February,
flew to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic in April
and stayed near lake Ontario in upstate New York in July.
We also still like to camp and hike and the foliage this year was beautiful!
Overall we have had a great year!
We hope this letter finds everyone happy and healthy.
We send love and good wishes to all!!!
