Cannon Mountain (4,100 feet) is located in Franconia Notch.
We hiked Kinsman Trail from near the base of the tram.
It was 4.4 miles round trip, with 2,100 feet of elevation gain.
A good part of of the elevation gain was in the first mile!
In other words, it was steep!!!
It took us 5 hours and 30 minutes.
This was our first 4,000 footer.
Unfortunately Trina had too much school work and could not make the hike.
